Age: 9 years
BamBam is a really well put together, strong, healthy 9-year-old gelding donkey. He is medium brown in color.
BamBam does very well with other non-aggressive male donkeys and adores female donkeys. BamBam has previously lived with horses and other livestock but at this time insists on having at least one burro buddy in his herd.
BamBam is up to date on all farrier, dental and medical needs. He halters, leads and loads in a trailer.
BamBam had dental surgery to repair a molar problem he had for years before we rescued him. He is now fully recovered.
Age: 15 years
Coach is a medium grey standard gelding donkey standing 49 inches.
Coach suffered prior abuse the nature of which we will never know. He was eventually rescued as part of a large scale horse seizure. To this day, he is still shy and worried about being abused. But he is curious, eats from our hands, halters, leads, loads and stands for the farrier.
Coach loves both jennets and john donkeys equally.
Longhopes has provided Coach full dental, medical, and farrier services in addition to many hours of training.
This donkey is looking for a permanent safe home with another donkey of similar age. He bonds up quickly so he’d do well with a lonely donkey.
He is not suitable for hiking, riding or driving due to his fear issues.

Burro Buddy: Kipling
Dominic is a solid dark brown standard, gelding donkey. His coloring makes him very handsome.
Dominic arrived with no skills but now halters, leads, loads and stands for the farrier.
He is becoming increasingly affectionate and is very curious about people.
Longhopes neutered Dominic and has provided him with medical and farrier care. He has also received many hours of training.
Dominic is very bonded to Kipling and refuses to be separated from him. Kipling is a good, mature influence. They must be adopted together.
Both donkeys have begun packing lessons and would be a good pair for hiking.
This is a very healthy young donkey who has unlimited potential.

Kipling is a handsome light grey standard gelding.
He arrived at Longhopes with very long hooves from severe neglect, but Kipling recovered remarkably fast with corrective hoof care.
Longhopes has provided Kipling with full dental and medical care. He has been involved in many hours of training and handling to prepare him for a new home.
This is a calm and affectionate donkey with good manners. He halters, leads, loads and stands for the farrier.
Kipling is bonded to 3-year-old Dominic. These geldings do everything together. Both donkeys have started packing lessons and would be good together as packing donkeys.
Kipling is perfect for the beginning donkey owner.

Burro Buddy: Serenity
Hollyn is a 7-year-old standard jennet. She is a gray and white paint color. She is very healthy.
Hollyn arrived with a jennet foal who has since been weaned and adopted to a new home.
Hollyn is now burro buddies with her older jennet foal, Serenity, who is 5 years old. This pair cannot be separated.
Serenity is extremely affectionate, and she convinces Hollyn to trust people too.
This is a pair of donkeys for the beginning donkey owner.
Hollyn halters, leads by following Serenity, and stands for hoof trimming.
They don’t need any other animals but might be able to guard small livestrock.
Longhopes has provided this donkey with full dental, mental, and farrier services. She has also received many hours of training.

Serenity is a 5 year old grey and white paint jennet. She looks just like her mother, Hollyn, except that Serenity’s ears are short due to frost bite or malicious injury. But don’t worry, she hears just fine and is still all donkey.
Serenity and Hollyn are very bonded and must be adopted together.
Serenity is the sweetest donkey ever, and is good with kids. She is more trusting than her mother, but can convince Hollyn to follow her lead.
Longhopes has provided both donkeys with full dental, mental and farrier services. Both donkeys have received hours of training and handling at Longhopes to prepare them for a loving new family.
Serenity has great skills for haltering, leading and standing for the farrier and trailer loading. She is perfect for the first time donkey owner.
Serenity and Hollyn are a closed unit. They don’t need any other animals around them but might be good with small livestock.

Iriquois is a 5-year-old standard jennet. This is a stunning red roan standard jennet who was part of the herd rescued by Longhopes from the Spirit of the Hills Sanctuary.
She is curious about people and interested in everything humans do. She is smart and her full potential is not known.
Iriquois would do well with another donkey of similar age and health.
Longhopes has provided Iriquois with full dental, medical and farrier services. Iriquois has also received many hours of training and handling to prepare her for a new home. This donkey has begun packing lessons.

Age: 9 years
Butler is a mild-mannered red roan standard gelding. He prefers the company of jennets rather than geldings that want to play all the time. Butler halters, leads, loads and stands for hoof trimming. He is up to date with all vaccinations, deworming, farrier and dental care.
This donkey is gentle and good with people.
Butler has an old tendon injury to his left front leg. He gets around just fine but would not likely be suitable for packing or other activities that would stress that leg.

LuLu is a stunningly beautiful, dark grey standard jennet. She is 6 years old and stands 48 inches tall.
LuLu is in great health and is up to date on all dental, medical and farrier needs.
This donkey likes to be driven from behind and shows great potential for packing or racing. She has started packing lessons.
LuLu halter loads well and is very calm for all farrier and routine maintenance.
She is 1/2 of a bonded pair of jennets. Her burro buddy is Phoebe and the pair cannot be separated.

Phoebe is a lean, 9 year old, medium grey standard jennet. She is lovely and well conformed. She is 1/2 of a bonded pair of jennets. Her burro buddy is LuLu and the pair cannot be separated.
Both Phoebe and LuLu have great ground manners and are calm for routine medical and farrier work.
Phoebe is up to date on all dental, medical and farrier needs.
Phoebe has begun pack training and is doing well. This pair of donkeys would be perfect for someone looking for a pair of donkeys to hike, pack or race.

Shrek is a medium brown standard donkey. He is not as mature or confident as his age would suggest.
Shrek has all basic skills on haltering, leading, loading and standing for the farrier but he is not for the first time donkey owner.
Shrek could live with either a jennet or gelding that has a calm personality.
Longhopes has provided Shrek with medical, dental and farrier care. He has also received hours of training to prepare him for adoption.

This is a young gelded male donkey. He is extremely affectionate and personable. He is also good with kids. He is smart and has great potential.
This donkeys is up to date on all dental, vaccinations and deworming.
He should be adopted as the companion to another gelding of similar age and energy.

Aylish is a wonderful large standard jennet. She is 51 inches tall and weighs more than 700 pounds. She was alone for many years so she is catching up on being a young donkey. She loves to play with other young jennets and is also very kind to gelding donkeys. She needs a home where she can bond with at least one other friendly donkey and gets a lot of human attention.
Aylish is large enough to do some serious packing or riding. She had a riding lesson and is a quick study.

Burro Buddy: Any nice jennet
This adorable small standard/oversized miniature donkey has loads of personality. He is blind in his right eye from an old traumatic injury. But that doesn’t slow him down much. He acts younger than his years and can keep up with the best of them.
Rooney is looking for a home with another donkey of similar age, temperament and energy level.
He is very good with people and easy to handle. He halters, leads, loads and stands calmly for farrier work. He adores extra attention and grooming.
Rooney is up to date on all dental, farrier, vaccinations and deworming.
This guy wants to be a companion animal family member. Don’t worry about his age, he has many great years ahead of him.

Burro Buddy: Shrek
This 48 inch stall standard spotted gelding donkey. He is a new arrival to Longhopes and is still lean at 391 pounds from prior starvation. He is friendly, and has great potential. He halters, leads and stands for the farrier. He is up to date with farrier work, vaccinations and deworming.
This donkey would do best with another young gelding donkey of similar size and energy while being trained for an activity.

This is a very cute 33 inch tall miniature, grey gelding donkey. He is NOT as small as he looks. He has a huge personality and thinks he is as tall as the standard donkeys. He has little fear and loves to hang out with the big boys.
Tex is a new arrival to Longhopes. He halters easily and stands well for the farrier but needs practice leading.
He is gentle and would be great with kids.
This donkey would do best without JENNETS at his home.

Burro Buddy: Any young jennet
This is a petite yearling, black jennet. She currently stands at 40 inches and weighs 227 pounds. She has a lot more growing to do but lacking a prior history we do not know what her full size will be. Mila is a new arrival from Texas.
Mila is immature and has a lot to learn about the world. But she is a quick learner and will be a great, bonded family pet to the right home.
Mila loves to play with other young jennets and would do best with another young donkey.
Mila is up to date on all vaccinations, deworming and farrier care.
Age: 7 SEEKING FOSTER HOME
This is a spotted (more white than grey spots) standard jennet at 48 inches. She is tough as nails. She has been with horses.
She has sensitive skin around her eyes and needs a home that will be sure she wears a flymask to protect her from the sun.
This donkey halters and leads.
She is up to date with all medical, dental and farrier care.
Burro Buddy: Aston
Newton is a handsome spotted oversized miniature donkey (or small standard) at 37.5 inches tall. He is more white than spotted. He is in very good shape.
This little donkey has sensitive skin around his eyes and needs a home that will have him wear a flymask to protect his eyes from the sun. He is good about wearing it when offered.
Newton is up to date on all medical, dental and farrier needs.
He halters, leads and stands well for the farrier. He is calm, quiet and well mannered.
This would be a great family donkey, but he would do best with another male donkey either mini or standard. He currently hangs out with young Aston all the time.
Burro buddy: Schroeder
This dark brown miniature mule/hinny stands 40 inches tall and weighs 370 lbs. He is an easier keeper on grass hay and must have limits on his access to spring grass.
Cruiser is very bonded to miniature donkey-Schroeder and the two cannot be separated.
Both Cruiser and Schroeder are submissive so they cannot be in a herd where they will have to compete for food or barn space. They are a herd onto themselves and don’t need other animals.
Cruiser is up to date on all medical, dental and farrier needs.
Burro buddy: Cruiser
This adorable, small, grey miniature donkey stands 34 inches tall and weighs 275 lbs. He is very affectionate, easy going and good with kids.
This donkey is up to date on all medical, dental and farrier needs. However, he has an old right front shoulder dislocation that causes a gait change. He manages very well with one monthly arthritis injection at a cost of approximately $25.
Schroeder and Cruiser and a bonded pair and cannot be separated. They are very dependent on each other and form their own herd with no need for other animals. Both are timid and will not compete for food or barn space.
Burro buddy: Kit
This is a 36.5 inch white gelding donkey. He has been recently neutered . Longhopes has also provided him with dental care, vaccinations, deworming and hoof care.
Kaboodle is gentle, and affectionate. He halters, leads, and stands for the farrier. He likes attention.
Kaboodle is bonded to Kit and should be adopted together.
Burro buddy: Kaboodle
This is a very, very cute oversized miniature jennet at 38.5 inches. She weighs about 225 lbs.
Kit has had a bath but she has a bad hair cut right now too.
Kit is a gentle, very affectionate donkey who would be great with kids. She likes attention and is easy to handle.
Kit has been provided with dental, farrier and medical care at Longhopes.
She is bonded to Kaboodle and the pair should be adopted together.
It is currently unknown if she is in foal.
Lenny is a white, gelding donkey who stands 49 inches and weighs 600 lbs. He has just recovered from sinus surgery for a long standing condition that was untreated at his last home. He is doing marvelous.
This donkey has a loving, trusting personality. He is quiet and gentle.
Lenny has been provided medical, dental, and farrier care at Longhopes. He is now ready to move on to a new home.
Lenny has good skills for haltering, leading and standing for the farrier.
Morey is a dark brown, medium standard gelding donkey at 44 inches. He has a BLM freeze brand on his neck.
Morey is looking for a safe home, since his last home ended in neglect.
He is a little shy but warming up all the time. He halters, leads and stands for the farrier.
