Burro Buddy: Chinook
BamBam is a really well put together, strong, healthy 9-year-old gelding donkey. He is medium brown in color.
BamBam does very well with other non-aggressive male donkeys and adores female donkeys. BamBam has previously lived with horses and other livestock but at this time insists on having at least one burro buddy in his herd.
BamBam is up to date on all farrier, dental and medical needs. He halters, leads and loads in a trailer.
BamBam had dental surgery to remove 3 lower molars. He is now fully recovered and requires no special diet.
This donkey is a gentle, mature gelding. He is currently buddies with BamBam and the two make a great pair.
He loves the attention and will always ask for more hugs and kisses. Chinook is very calm and loves to be around other donkeys.
Chinook is good with trailer loading, grooming, and hooves picking.
He has been provided medical and farrier services and is up to date with all medical care required for his age.

Burro Buddy: BamBam or Shrek
Coach is a medium grey standard gelding donkey standing 49 inches.
Coach suffered prior abuse the nature of which we will never know. He was eventually rescued as part of a large scale horse seizure. To this day, he is still shy and worried about being abused. But he is curious, eats from our hands, halters, leads, loads and stands for the farrier.
Coach loves both jennets and john donkeys equally.
Longhopes has provided Coach full dental, medical, and farrier services in addition to many hours of training.
This donkey is looking for a permanent safe home with another donkey of similar age. He bonds up quickly so he’d do well with a lonely donkey.
He is not suitable for hiking, riding or driving due to his fear issues but will thrive outside the shelter environment with the steady routine of a regular caretaker.

Burro Buddy: Coach or BamBam
Shrek is a medium brown standard donkey.
Shrek has all basic skills on haltering, leading, loading and standing for the farrier . He is playful and energetic.
Shrek could live with either a jennet or gelding that has a calm personality.
Longhopes has provided Shrek with medical, dental and farrier care. He has also received hours of training to prepare him for adoption.
Burro Buddy: Aston
Newton is a handsome spotted oversized miniature donkey (or small standard) at 37.5 inches tall. He is more white than spotted. He is in very good shape.
This little donkey has sensitive skin around his eyes and needs a home that will have him wear a flymask to protect his eyes from the sun. He is good about wearing it when offered.
Newton is up to date on all medical, dental and farrier needs.
He halters, leads and stands well for the farrier. He is calm, quiet and well mannered.
Both Newton and Aston are good with horses. Newton is particularly interested in horses. They would be perfect to join a lonely horse and become the new herd members.

Burro Buddy: Newton
This is a young gelded male donkey. He is extremely affectionate and personable. He is also good with kids. He is smart and has great potential.
This donkeys is up to date on all dental, vaccinations and deworming.
He and a burro buddy Newton who also like horses and would fit in well with a single or herd of horses.
This is an adult miniature donkey. He is grey and stands at 37 inches. He is in great health.
JoJo is used to living with horses. He is protective and likes to be in a herd.
He was recently castrated and should not be placed with jennets.
JoJo has good skills at haltering, leading and standing for the farrier. He is also affectionate.
He has a loud voice when he wants something. This donkey has great conformation and and would do great packing, racing or pulling a cart .
He is easy to handle for a child.
He is a gentle soul and has been provided medical, dental, farrier and training services at Longhopes.

Sex: Gelding (recently neutered)
This 48 inch stall standard spotted gelding donkey. He is starting to fill out as he reaches his physical maturity. He is friendly, and has great potential. He halters, leads and stands for the farrier. He is up to date with farrier work, vaccinations and deworming.
This donkey would do best with another young gelding donkey of similar size and energy while being trained for an activity.
Charlie and Chester
This is a spotted (more white than grey spots) standard jennet at 48 inches. She is tough as nails. She has been with horses but prefers donkeys.
She has sensitive skin around her eyes and needs a home that will be sure she wears a flymask to protect her from the sun. Due to Maud needing daily care with her eyes, she is up for adoption at a reduced adoption fee.
This donkey halters and leads, loads and has potential for riding and packing. She has changed so much since she was first rescued and has becoming very affectionate.
She is up to date with all medical, dental and farrier care.
Burro buddy: Schroeder
This dark brown miniature mule/hinny stands 40 inches tall and weighs 370 lbs. He is an easier keeper on grass hay and must have limits on his access to spring grass.
Cruiser is very bonded to miniature donkey-Schroeder and the two cannot be separated but they both like horses so they would be perfect to become the new herd for a lonely horse. They could stay home and protect the paddock when the horse is taken riding.
Both Cruiser and Schroeder are submissive so they cannot be in a herd where they will have to compete for food or barn space.
Cruiser is up to date on all medical, dental and farrier needs.
Burro buddy: Cruiser
This adorable, small, grey miniature donkey stands 34 inches tall and weighs 275 lbs. He is very affectionate, easy going and good with kids.
This donkey is up to date on all medical, dental and farrier needs. However, he has an old right front shoulder dislocation that causes a gait change. He manages very well with one monthly arthritis injection at a cost of approximately $25.Due to his shoulder dislocation which makes him a special needs donkey; Schroeder is up for adoption at a reduced adoption fee.
Schroeder and Cruiser and a bonded pair and cannot be separated. They are very dependent on each other but both like horses and would be the perfect, small, easy to handle equines to adopt to be with a lonely horse who needed safe, gentle new herd members. Both are timid and will not compete for food or barn space.
Lenny is a white, gelding donkey who stands 49 inches and weighs 600 lbs. This is quiet, gentle, big, loving donkey.
He gets along with all other donkeys and is very easy to care for. He has great skills for all routine care.
Lenny has been provided medical, dental, and farrier care at Longhopes. He is now ready to move on to a new home.
Lenny has good skills for haltering, leading and standing for the farrier.
Lenny loves all donkeys and might be able to bond to a kind and lonely horse.
Morey is a dark brown, medium standard gelding donkey at 44 inches. He has a BLM freeze brand on his neck.
Morey is looking for a safe home, since his last home ended in neglect. Morey is up for adoption at a reduced adoption fee.
He is a little shy but warming up all the time. He halters, leads and stands for the farrier.
Longhopes has provided Morey with medical, dental and farrier care appropriate for his age.
Morey would do best with a lonely, mature, large jennet. But he is good with other gelding donkeys and likes horses.

This is a grey, miniature jennet who is 34 inches tall.
She is gentle and quiet. This is a loving little donkey who would make a wonderful family pet and watching her foal growing is an added pleasure.
This is a 2 for 1 adoption because she will foal Fall 2017.

This is an adorable yearling, grey miniature donkey. He is bonded to another yearling/weanling donkey named Toto.
These young donkeys need a family that will spend time with them because they both crave affection and attention.
Toto has been provided medical and farrier services to bring him up to date with all appropriate care. He has good skills for the first time donkey owner.

This is a grey with a solid grey muzzle miniature donkey.
He has been provided medical, farrier and training services at Longhopes. He is very healthy and is getting more affectionate by the day.
He needs to be with at least one other miniature, preferably one of comparable age and energy. Archie is part of his family herd and would be great. They are both full of potential for many activities.
He is bonded to Guffey and the 2 cannot be separated. They play all the time and love toys of any kind.

He arrived at Longhopes with his buddy Polo who is believed to be related to him. Both donkeys are healthy and fit for a variety of activities which might including packing, riding and driving.

This is a beautiful paint miniature mare. She has incredible skills. She is perfect for a child. She is broke to ride, halters, leads, loads and stands well for the farrier. She loves activity and attention. She is calm and gentle.
Nora is bonded to Nick and the pair must be adopted together. Both of these miniature horses LOVE big horses. They would make great companions to a large horse with the added bonus of being rideable.

Burro buddy: Nora
This is a small and adorable buckskin miniature gelding horse. He has one blue eye.
He is just under 200 lbs.
Nick is broke to ride.
This is the nicest miniature horse ever. He is sweet, gentle, very easy to handle. He has excellent skills and is perfect for a child. His great to halter, lead and have his hooves trimmed. He loads and takes a saddle perfectly.
Nick is bonded to Nora and cannot be separated. She too is a great ride.
Both LOVE big horses and would do great as companions to full size horses, with the added benefit of being rideable.

Eeyore is extremely sweet, gentle, and loving!
He does not have a particular burro buddy but instead loves to blend in with the senior donkeys at Longhopes.
He adores attention from people. He’s had some bad luck and has lost 3 homes through no fault of his own. He is looking for his last home where he can retire. He would be great with a senior donkey.

Jubilee and Trinket
Trinket and Jubilee are a wonderful pair. They are sweet, like children, and enjoy being around people. These sweet and gentle donkeys love to be groomed. Jubilee and Trinket are in need of an owner that can put them in a weight-loss type diet. Their access to spring and summer grass needs to be limited to protect their health. They would be fine on a dry lot big enough to run around. Both could go on long walks.
They both have really good manners and know their basic skills.

This is a dark brown miniature jennet who stands at 33 inches. She has lived her entire life with 1-2 other miniature jennets at a long term home that ended when her last companion died. She would not do well in a large herd but would love a home with 1 other donkey that is as lonely as she is.
