"Aurora" was was 4 year old feral jennet in 2004 when she was sold for slaughter. So crippled she was afraid to be touched when she arrived at Longhopes. By the end of the year she was standing and walking well enough to be adopted
"Beau" is a 12 year old gelding hinny who came to Longhopes after he was seized from his former owners for severe neglect. Luckily, all he needed was a dramatic corrective trimming of his extremely crippling hooves. Once that was done, a happy, active spirit emerged. Beau is now running fast and furiously with two horses in Loveland.
